Who needs a flu shot?

While the CDC recommends getting an annual flu vaccination for individuals 6 months of age and older, certain groups are at a higher risk of developing serious complications from the flu. These include:

• Adults 65 years +
• Children under 5 years old
• Pregnant women
• People with chronic health conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, or weakened immune systems
• Healthcare workers
• People who live in nursing homes or long-term care facilities

Why is a flu shot so important?
